Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in JEEViKA plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of the program’s interventions aimed at empowering rural communities and alleviating poverty in Bihar. It is a systematic process that involves the collection, analysis, and use of data to track progress against planned activities, outputs, and outcomes.

The M&E framework in JEEViKA supports informed decision-making by providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders at all levels from community institutions to state-level management. It helps in identifying implementation gaps, assessing the quality of services, and ensuring accountability and transparency in operations. Key components include the use of robust Management Information Systems (MIS), periodic field monitoring visits, thematic studies, impact assessments, and participatory review mechanisms such as community scorecards and social audits.

By fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement, M&E in JEEViKA contributes to enhancing program design, strengthening service delivery, and achieving sustainable development outcomes for rural households in Bihar.
